Tonight,I am feeling pretty good.I had a not too exciting of a day today.Most of the day,I was at home because my car was in the shop.It needed to have some front break work done.Initially,I dropped it off to get the front break calipers put on and to have an oil change done.But later,I received a phone call from the garage that it also needed pads and rotors and I said okay.I also promised them another $100.00 deposit when they did that.I don't owe very much to them.It is great to have a mechanic who catches something when really needed.I drove for a while and the breaks are working great.They are working better than ever.While waiting for the repairs,I was at home for much of the day.I also went back to bed when I got home.I was still sleepy and I drove the car still half drowsy but I am fortunate that nothing happened nor did I fall asleep.I got the car there and my mechanic's step-daughter drove me home.
A friend of my mom's was here for much of the afternoon.They were having a conversation and as they talked,I was on my computer doing my personal work.When two ladies talk,it's best to let them have their talk.I also spent most of teh time upstairs in my room cleaning up.A little later,some boxes containing my 45 r.p.m.singles collection toppled over and I had to pick them up and stack the back up again.I also tried to put the in a way so at least,they would not fall again.I hope that whatever I am trying to do works.
Today was a holiday.It was Veteran's Day.There was no anger management/conflict resolution meeting today due to it being that.To take it's place,I went to a Salvation Army thrift shop in my area and picked up a few more vinyl records to add to my ever growing collection.I also managed to find a Scooby Doo air popcorn popper.I thought that it looked really neat.I now have it on display on my computer desk.I think that it makes a nice conversation piece and also,I think that it looks right on my desk.The store was having a 1/2 off sale today so I felt that this would be great to have.You never know what you'll find at those thrift shops.
Tomorrow is a work day.I am hoping that day goes by well.After work,I am going to be washing some of my clothes at the laundromat.I need to get these things clean.I am hoping that this also goes as well as I hope it will.
It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away starting this coming Thursday.I have a four day weekend coming up when that happens.
That was my day today and my hopes for the day ahead.FJ
