Tonight,I am feeling okay.I had a pretty boring & uneventful day today.
I was home for most of the day due to a terrible storm that we were having.It started last night by raining heavily with thunder and lightning all around.This morning,it was still raining but it would stop for about 1/2 an hour.But after 12:00p.m.,we started having thunder and lightning all around but instead of rain coming down,we had nickel sized hail and it was a very heavy hail storm.I was working on my PC when this started and was also trying to watch a movie while this was happening.The thunder was the loudest that we had ever experienced in a long time and this was also the first hail storm that we had in a few years.In my hometown,there isn't a whole lot to do when you have a storm of epic proportions happening.The hail storm lasted for a little over 20 minutes.It just came down like crazy and there was really nothing to do except stay home and relax.
After the hail storm was over,a heavy torrential downpour happened and that lasted for most of the day going into the late afternoon.At least,I got to watch the rest of the movie because the thunder and lightning stopped.This was the only thing that I could do with a storm like that.
After the movie,I turned off the TV and went upstairs to my room to take a nap because I was a little tired.I laid down for about 1/2 an hour and when I got back up,I made my bed.While I was laying down,my mom prepared dinner in the kitchen and I patiently waited for dinner to be done.
After eating,I decided to do a couple of things for myself.First,I went to a supermarket to pick up a jar of hamburger sliced style pickles.I bought these to replace a jar that is almost empty because my mom and I ate quite a few sandwiches over the last few days and I bought the jar to replace it so we will still have some when the jar is empty.I also stopped at a local Dairy Queen to have a dipped ice cream cone.It was wonderful and I enjoyed it.I went home afterwards.
When I got home,it started to rain again and at the moment,it is raining and it is really coming down.We have been having some crazy weather today with non-stop rain with only a few small breaks in between rain showers.Fortunately for me,I don't have to go anywhere for the night.I am just hoping that this rain stops soon because I am just tired of constant rain showers.Not only that,when I got outside to my car,my windshield got hit by the hail.It isn't a very big crack but it could affect my inspection status when I take it to get inspected on Wednesday.I was going to go today but the storm today kept me home and I felt that it was best if I cancelled my appointment due to the storm.Before I go to work tomorrow,I am going to call my mechanic to ask him if this will affect my inspection status.I am hoping that it won't but I have a feeling that I might have to replace the windshield before my car can pass inspection.
Last night,the movie that I went to see,the reimagining of Prom Night,was pretty good.It wasn't a great picture but it was a pretty good film.I actually liked what they did here to this.Instead of a straight-forward remake of the classic 1980 film that starred Jamie Lee Curtis and Leslie Neilson,the makers of the film tried a different approac where a young girl is terrorized by visions of a former teacher of hers who was obsessed with her that he killed her family in order to have her all to himself.3 years later,he escapes to finish what he started even if it means killing again.I will not give too much away but I do recommend this film who would like something different for a change other than the standard horror/scary flick.I will be eagerly awaiting that DVD release of this film,which will be August 18th of this year.
Right now,the only DVD that I am waiting on is the complete series of The Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show.It is supposed to come before the end of this week.I can hardly wait for that to come in.
Tomorrow is a work day,I am hoping that the work day goes smoothly.I am also looking forward to the group but if it rains really bad tomorrow,I might just stay home and go to the next meeting in just two weeks.
That was my day today and my hopes for the day ahead.FJ
