Tonight,I am feeling pretty good.I had a very good day today.
Since this was my day off,I only ran a couple of errands for my mom.It was to get a few things.But I could only get only three of one item.The supermarket that I went to was out of a few things.But still,it was better than nothing.
I did make a couple of stops on the way home.But the stores that I stopped at didn't have what I was looking for and I headed for home.
After having a light dinner,I went to register a few more bills at the Where's George website.These were the bills that I had gotten in change after buying the things that my mom needed and the money that she owed me for paying for the groceries.After doing that,I finsihed up some last minute e-mail work and I also did some checking on a site that I posted on to see if my comment was approved,which it was.It was about the Universal Studios fire that had happened yesterday.Fortunately,I just found out that the place,which was the house from the movie Psycho,was spared.I am relieved.That would have been a terrible tragedy if that iconic house would have met an end like that and would have to be rebuilt.But again,it was spared and I am relieved.The unfortunate things is the iconic courthouse clock from the movie Back to the Future and some of the other mock sets,including the King Kong exhibit were destroyed.It will take some time and a lot of money to rebuild these sets to their original luster.But still,it will be well worth it if they did that.
Last night,I went out to have a beer with the guys and we talked about the Universal Studios fire last night while I was there.It seems to be a very much talked about story.I guess that there are a lot of people,such as myself,that was affected by this.Universal Studios happens to be a very important part of American pop culture.Plus,a lot of my favorite movies were released by Universal Studios.I hope that Universal Studios can fully recover from this fire.
When I got home,I watched Psycho last night as a way of showing some appreciation for the hard work and dedication in making this film and also for fearing that the iconic house in the film was destroyed as it was reported by various news sources.But again,I am relieved that the house was spared from the fire.
Tomorrow is a work day.I am hoping that the day goes smoothly.I also have my SSA Recovery support group tomorrow night.I am hoping that the meeting goes well.
That was my day today and my hopes for the day ahead.FJ
