Tonight,I am feeling pretty good.I had a pretty good day today.
The work shift and the accompanying lunch period went smoothly and I managed to get a lot done in the short period of time that I had. While I was waiting for loads that I started to finish in the washers,I started reading a book called Five Steps to Forgiveness by Everett Worthington PH.D.I read the prologue and the first chapter. It seems to be a very interesting read.I think that I am going to get an awful lot out of reading this. The book was loaned to me by the leader of the SSA Recovery support group, which is now winding down.I am looking forward to the final meeting next week. But again,I am going to continue reading the book and as stated,I am hoping to get an awful lot out of this book.
On the way home,I went to the post office to buy a money order to be immediately mailed out because I bought a couple of copies of the classic Disney film Song of the South from an internet retail site from one of the sellers.I bought one for myself and one as a late birthday present for a friend. It will be several days before I receive it but I know that he will be surprised when I present him with the DVD as a surprise birthday present.I mailed out the money order immediately and I also bought a few stamps so my mom's bills could be mailed out.
I also stopped at a supermarket to pick up a pack of boneless pork chops and sour cream. After purchasing the items,I headed for home to take it easy for a while.
While at home,I watched a couple of movies in my DVD player part of my VCR/DVD combo and after I ate dinner,I registered a 5 dollar bill at Where's George that I received in change from the post office and finished off my personal PC work that I had started while on break from work.I now feel that my day is almost complete.I just have a few more personal things that I have to do.
Tomorrow is another work day.I am hoping that the shift goes over well. After that,it's the weekend.
That was my day today and my hopes for the day ahead.FJ
