Tonight,my road to recovery continues unabated.I had a pretty good day today.
Today,I woke up in the early morning and I bathed. After my bath,I had my usual quick breakfast and my usual 2 cups of coffee. After breakfast,I did my personal PC work and I got dressed.I had a few things planned for today and I wanted to get them done.
I first went to a local supermarket to turn in some empty cans and bottles that had accumulated in my trunk from collecting them over the past few months. After that was done,I went over to the bank to cash a couple of checks. After that was done,I headed straight home.
When I got home,I registered all the bills at the Where's George site and after that was done,I relaxed until it was time for me to leave to have a meeting with the pastor of the church this afternoon.I was having high hopes for this and I was hoping that it would go well.
The meeting went better than expected. After it was over,I headed straight home as I had nothing else to do for the rest of the day.
When I got home,I relaxed and watched a little TV.
After eating,I watched the evening news for a while and I did some more personal PC work.Overall,a pretty good day.
Though my recovery continues unabated,I am still,on a daily basis, dealing and struggling with the symptoms of bipolar depression with schizophrenic tendencies.I am still attending my therapy sessions.I am also taking my medication as directed.I am hoping that my recovery starts to improve in the days and months ahead.
Regarding my SSA struggles,I really wasn't tempted much today.I had really no urges to act out on my desires today.Though I escaped today,I still need to stay on guard and be watchful as the urge to act out in any way, shape or form can rear it's ugly head when least expected.I have to also stay strong when that temptation does indeed rear it's ugly head.I have to fight to resist the temptation to masturbate or when my mind wanders into other territories that it shouldn't be wandering into.I have to stay strong.Again, anything helpful is appreciated.
Tomorrow,I am hoping to get out to another Salvation Army thrift store in the next county and I am hoping that I find quite a few nice things.
That was my day today and my hopes and plans for the start of the weekend ahead.FJ

Hi FJ

Came across your blog & wanted to say a few words. I was a little confused at first because your posts all look the same, but I went through them & read a few.

Congrats on your efforts to deal with your SSA & other issues. Keep forging ahead & stay healthy. What you're doing doesn't receive much support in the mainstream right now due to all the misunderstandings about homosexuality & the negative effects of the glbt lobby.

I'd like to invite you to visit my channel & read my profile at:
http://www.zippcast.com/user/TheTrutherSceptic

Read the links, I have some great info there. I like to look at SSA from the POV of the ppl who have it, to offer empathy as they are attacked from all sides, both the religious ppl & the gay lobby, & just the general ignorant, misinformed public.

If you want to contact me to chat about anything (I know a lot about this) send me a PM at my Youtube address since Zippcast gives some trouble with messages.

I'm glad that you believe in yourself & I hope you don't allow yourself to be shamed by anyone about your personal issues. It's quite brave to put one's feelings & personal life out there for everyone to see.

If you haven't alrady read them, NARTH's Dr Nicolosi has some great books on reparative therapy that would assist men like you. PFOX also has a wonderful story called "Diary of an Ex-gay Man", which chronicles a UK man's reparative therapy, along with his experiences & feelings about the origins of his SSA.

Keep a positive attitude & congratulations on what you've achieved so far.

I forgot to say that I'm sorry about your early life & the abuse you endured. I hope you had/have someone to discuss your pain & anger with.

I also hope you weren't bullied about your ssa & that you have some good friends to support you.

It's incredibly brave of you to share that with others & seek to heal yourself. I think your positive manner will take you far.

Hello

Thanks so much for stopping by and posting some kind words of encouragement. I am glad that I am reaching people out there in the world and getting some wonderful support. It also shows that I am not alone in my fight and that there are other men who are also fighting this dreaded SSA. Thanks again.

By the way, I am trying to add your site to the list of blogs that I am following, but all I keep getting is an error message. I have bookmarked your site so I will check it out whenever I am online.

Thanks again. The more encouragement that I can get the better.
